Data Architect/Consultant

Term: Permanent / Contractual

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for participating in data migration activities that include extraction from the current system, analysis, testing, reporting, conversion and loading into the client’s new application environment
• Work with clients to determine applicable data files and conversion delivery methods
• Work with clients to identify data conversion requirements
• Develop data transformation utilities/programs using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), T-SQL (SQL Server 2008) and PL-SQL (Oracle 11g)
• Load data for testing and live conversion into applicable databases
• Track and document data conversion issues
• Manage a team of Data Conversion Engineers (Senior Position only)

Requirements:

• Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent
• At least 3 years working experience in Business Intelligence development
• Required skill(s): SQL knowledge (compulsory), SQL Server 2008 Development, SSIS
• Having own transportation. Travel allowance is provided
• Experience working in Financial Institutions will be an added advantage
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. On-the-job training will be provided

Ruby on Rails Application Developer

We're looking for passionate and productive senior or young and capable software engineers to join the Leanis Engineering team. You'll be developing startup applications as well as optimizing existing ones. We take a test-driven, agile approach to development, delivering early and often. Our engineers work across the full stack and are given the responsibility needed to drive features from design through to deployment.

Responsibilities

• Developing new application features, front-end to back-end, in Ruby
• Maintain and improve existing code and applications for performance and stability
• Gather requirements and plan the implementation of new initiatives
• Use Test/Behaviour Driven Development to develop stable, beautiful, idiomatic code. (i.e. Cucumber, Rspec)

Valued qualities and experience

• Intermediate to strong background in Ruby on Rails
• A track record in developing high quality web applications
• Experience of constructing high-quality, efficient SQL (we use MySQL)
• Resourceful and passionate about web application development
• Being highly productive - ability to focus and get things done
• Ability to rapidly debug issues and solve problems
• A friendly, positive and cheerful attitude

We're looking for people to work full-time with the team in our The Strand, Kota Damansara office, but we would consider a remote working arrangement for exceptional candidates.

Business Intelligence Developer

Term: Permanent / Contractual

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop data warehouse architectures (OLAP cubes)
• Design and development of ETL processes
• Testing to ensure data integrity and quality
• Read and write complex Structured Query Language (SQL)
• Lead and develop reporting requirements using either of these tools:  SSRS (2005/08) / OBIEE / Cognos

Requirements:

• Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent
• At least 2 years working experience in Business Intelligence development
• Required skill(s): BI tools ( either SSRS, OBIEE or Cognos )
• Knowledge and Implementation of Dimensional Modelling
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to become trusted technical advisor to the the customer
• Having own transportation. Travel allowance is provided
• Experience working in Financial Institutions will be an added advantage
• Demonstrated ability to coach/mentor junior practitioners will be an added advantage
